This is an image of a pied-bill grebe and its young. Did not see which one finally ate the fish as they went into some reeds.

Oh interesting! You would say this is a mating pair? I wonder if it could be a parent and sibling too, I have never seen them feed before. Still, it seems like a big (for the bird!) carp for the grebe to handle! Wouldn't the fish stand any slim chance of escaping or even damaging (hopefully not!) the grebe's elastic neck/stomach if eaten in that condition?!

Amazing capture! That looks like a big fish (do you know what kind?) staring down its captor's throat here! So does the bird really manage to win the battle and gulp that whole thing okay? Does the fish put up a good fight, if eaten does the unlucky prey get swallowed wriggling all the way down as well?!

Probably a small carp. Once the fish is in the bill it is usually over for the fish.
