Wildlife Photographer Dennis L Hammer took First and Second place in Utah's Salt Lake County photography contest in August of 2013. The First Place image "Black-crowned Night Heron in Flight" and Second Place image "Clark's Grebes Mating Dance" can be viewed on his website at www.dennis-hammer.artistwebsites.com. In addition, his image "Siberian Lynx" took Third Place in the "Captive Wildlife" category.

In addition to his First Place finish in the Wildlife category Dennis Hammer also received the "Supervisors Choice Award" for his image "Sunrift Cascade." This image was taken in Glacier National Park last year.

The Utah State Fair juried photography contest has concluded. Dennis Hammer's image "Home Security" was selected as the winner in the "Wildlife" category. Dennis Hammer's placement in this contest comes on the heels of his first place image "Egret in Flight" at the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum on the Brigham Young University campus.

Utah photographer Dennis Hammer recently took 1st Place in a Fine Art America sponsored contest for his leaping "Mountain Lion" image which was taken in southern Utah. Fine Art America contests are open to members of the website and judging is either open to the public or, at times, limited to other member artists.

Dennis Hammer, a Utah Wildlife and Nature Photographer, has recorded several top three places in recent Fine Art America photography contests. His most recent 1st Place award was for his leaping "Bobcat" image. Voting in these contests is open to the public but, in some cases, is limited to current artists of Fine Art America.

Photographer Dennis Hammer took First Place in the 2012 Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum photography contest. The award was given for his "Snowy Egret in Flight" image in the "Bird" category. The contest is an annual event on the Brigham Young University campus and attracts numerous Utah photographers.
